Stand Up for the Oath!

Since we can't all attend the Inauguration and since Barack Obama is going to need the support of all of us who voted for him, let's take the oath of office with him!

Stand up, wherever you are, and say the words along with Barack!

Each president recites the following oath, in accordance with Article II, Section I of the U.S. Constitution.

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

You can say something like:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully support Barack Obama as he executes the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
